About Pam

Pam Myhra

Burnsville has been my home for 33-years. I graduated from Burnsville Senior High School and the University of St. Thomas with honors. I am a certified public accountant with an inactive license. As a manager for an international public accounting firm, KPMG, I specialized in banking, insurance, and government until placing my career on hold to have a family.

In the following years I devoted my energies to the education of my three children, community service, and political activism. My children, Kristin, Justin, and Kathrin, are currently high-honors students at Northwestern College in Saint Paul. Since the mid-1990’s I served as director of a girls’ club and teacher of numerous parenting classes, in addition to other volunteer community projects. Since attending my first precinct caucus in 1994, I served thousands of volunteer hours in grass-roots political activism, including the Burnsville City chair and the Dakota County co-chair of presidential election campaigns and chair of the House District 40A Republicans.

I am a graduate of the Minnesota Excellence in Public Service Series, a communications, leadership, and management program for female leaders and recently I received the National Federation of Republican Women’s Minnesota 2010/2011 Campaign Award.

Currently, I am in my first term as Minnesota State Representative serving the communities of Burnsville and Savage and I serve on the Capital Investments, Education Finance, Education Reform, and Tax committees.

My husband Chuck and I have been married for 30 years and we are active members of Bethesda Church.
