(WASHINGTON, DC) – The National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL) is proud to announce Representative Pam Myhra is one of our Elected Women of Excellence Award Winners.
The award was established as part of NFWL’s Capital Forum and 75th Anniversary Celebration to commemorate 75 years of Elected Women in American politics.
“We are so proud of our winners,” said Councilwoman Joyce Dickerson, Chair of NFWL. “These women have not only contributed greatly to their own communities, but have served as role models for the next generation of leaders.”
In only her 2nd term in the Minnesota House of Representatives, Representative Pam Myhra has already elevated herself to a leadership position on early childhood and youth development policy issues. She is also the minority party House legislative liaison to the Minnesota Youth Council and to the Minnesota Early Learning Council.
This year NFWL recognized 41 women from 33 states. The winners were nominated by their colleagues and constituents from their home states and chosen by NFWL board members.
“We congratulate our winners from this year, and we are excited to see who will be nominated next year.” Councilwoman Dickerson said.
