Myhra named ‘Friend of the Taxpayer’

To the editor:

The Taxpayers League of Minnesota recently honored Rep. Pam Myhra, R-Burnsville, with its annual “Friend of the Taxpayer” award in recognition of her 2014 pro-taxpayer voting record.

The award goes to legislators who achieved 100 percent on votes rated in the Taxpayers League’s annual Legislative Scorecard. Fourteen House members and seven senators scored 100 percent on the scorecard this year.

Myhra received the “Friend of the Taxpayer” award for her votes opposing tax hikes on Minnesota residents and businesses as well as increased spending of the surplus that was generated by last session’s tax increase.

Myhra consistently and aggressively fought for lower taxes and limited government throughout his term and deserves special recognition for her efforts on behalf of all Minnesota taxpayers.
